David began singing in church around the age of 4. He started taking piano lessons at age 7 and continued taking private piano lessons through elementary, middle and high school. David was involved in many choirs and select music groups throughout middle and high school and beyond. He began giving private piano lessons while in high school and continues to teach piano to students today. David officially started his music ministry in 1993 and released two studio-recorded albums in that year. One is called "I Lift My Voice", which contains 13 vocal songs, and the other is a piano solo album called "Solitude". He then followed that up with another vocal album in 1996 simply titled "Blessings", which contained all original songs that no other music artist had previously recorded. David continued to travel with his ministry until 1998 when he felt God calling him back to his home church, Masonville Baptist, to serve as pianist. After serving for 21 years as pianist, he became Worship Leader at Masonville Baptist, and he continued to minister to the congregation there each week through piano music and vocally for 3 more years. Also in 1998, he started his own business, David Sims Computers and Services, LLC and that continues to be his full-time job today. David says that computers are his career, but music is his passion. David also began doing keyboards and vocals in a Christian band, Kingdom's Call, in the summer of 2014. Later in 2014, for the Christmas season, David released his latest, and first ever full length Christmas CD, titled "Christmas Blessings". David also sang on the Praise Team for the Ohio Valley Will Graham Celebration, and helped lead worship, along with Aaron Shust, Will Graham and other members of the Worship Praise Team.
